Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account and using demucs:r ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

demucs:r is an audio stem separation service. You upload an audio file, pay a per-track fee, and receive isolated stems (bass, drums, vocals, and other). Processed stems are stored in cloud storage for 24 hours and then permanently deleted. It is your responsibility to download your stems before they expire.

3. Copyright and Acceptable Use

You represent and warrant that you own or have the legal right to use any audio you upload. You must not upload audio that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of any third party. demucs:r does not review uploaded content and is not responsible for copyright infringement committed by users. Any misuse is solely your liability. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we become aware are being used to infringe on third-party rights.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. All sales are final. Refunds are issued at our sole discretion in cases where the Service failed to process your track due to a technical error on our end. No refunds are issued for successful processing runs where you were dissatisfied with the output quality, as output quality depends on the nature of the source audio.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the stem separation output will meet your expectations. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, demucs:r and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect your email address when you create an account. Payment information (credit card details) is collected and processed exclusively by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Audio files you upload are stored temporarily in Amazon S3 and deleted within 24 hours of processing completion.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used to send transactional emails (account management, processing notifications). We do not send marketing emails without your consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate the Service (Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for storage and email).

3. Data Retention

Audio files and processed stems are deleted within 24 hours of processing. Your account information (email address) is retained until you delete your account. Payment records are retained as required by law.

4. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption and secure cloud storage. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
